Idle Hour’s Fifth Grade Safety Patrols Step Up for Morning Arrival

Idle Hour Elementary’s fifth graders are taking on an important role each morning as members of the Student Government Club’s Safety Patrol.

The student-volunteers exit their buses a few minutes before arrival begins, show their Safety Patrol IDs and head to assigned hallways throughout the school. There, they display signs with safety reminders for students as they enter the building and make their way to class.

The Safety Patrol is already making a difference during morning arrival while giving fifth graders an opportunity to take on added responsibility and help their school community.
