Dear Connetquot Community,
Walking back into Central Office feels a little like coming home! My nearly ten years as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction here in Connetquot remain among the most meaningful experiences of my career. During that time, I had the pleasure and privilege of working alongside dedicated Board trustees, administrators, faculty, and staff within a community that takes enormous pride in its schools and its students.
The opportunity to serve as Interim Superintendent, even if for a short time, allows me to reconnect with former colleagues, friends, students, parents, and community members. Together with the Board of Education, I look forward to working collaboratively to navigate our current challenges and help ensure a smooth transition toward consistent, long-term leadership for the district.
If there is one characteristic that defines Connetquot, it is the community's unwavering commitment to providing the very best educational experiences for students and families. The Board of Education and the broader community share a deep passion for ensuring that taxpayer resources are invested thoughtfully, responsibly, and strategically to support student growth, achievement, and well-being.
Throughout my career, I have believed that strong schools are built on trust, transparency, communication, and a shared commitment to children. Those principles will guide my work during this interim period. I am committed to listening, learning, and engaging with all stakeholders as we continue the important work of supporting our students and maintaining the high standards of excellence that have long defined the Connetquot Central School District.
I am grateful for the warm welcome I have already received and look forward to reconnecting with many familiar faces while building new relationships across our school community. Together, we will continue to place students at the center of every decision and ensure that Connetquot remains a source of pride for all.
