Business Academy
Connetquot High School Business Academy
As a member of the academy, students exhibit a commitment to the business field. Students will demonstrate proficiency through a rigorous course load and passing scores on the NOCTI exam. Academy members who meet all the requirements will earn a CTE designation on their diploma when they graduate high school.
To graduate from the Connetquot Business Academy, students must
- Earn a minimum of 4.5 total business credits, including required courses.
- Complete work-based learning requirements.
- Pass the required CTE exam during the spring of their senior year while taking Virtual Enterprise.

A minimum of 54 hours of work-based learning. Can be achieved through Ms. Rapone’s School to Work Program (0.5-2 credits) Students and their advisor can track their hours, which include job shadowing, community service, volunteering, service learning, and on-site projects (0 credits). Students will also reach the minimum required WBL hours if they complete Virtual Enterprise. |

- Students must be accepted into and maintain membership in National Business Honor Society.
- Students must enroll in and complete at least one business course per year while maintaining a GPA of 90 or higher in business courses.
- Students must attend Business Academy meetings throughout the school year.
