Connetquot is celebrating a standout group of student-musicians, with 21 selections across this year’s NYSCAME All-County and NYSSMA All-State ensembles!

Seventeen musicians will represent Connetquot at the NYSCAME All-County Concert in November, joining talented 11th and 12th grade musicians from across Suffolk County. Students earned their spots through their performance of a NYSSMA solo last spring, teacher nominations and a competitive selection process.

The recognition extends to the state level, where four Connetquot students have been selected for the NYSSMA All-State Festival. In December, they will travel to Rochester to perform in their respective ensembles alongside accomplished student-musicians from across New York State.

 “This honor reflects the talent, dedication, and hard work of our students and their teachers,” said Vincent Malafronte, Director of Fine Arts and Music Education. “We are proud of their accomplishments and excited to have them represent Connetquot, our community, and our music program throughout these special experiences.”

NYSCAME All-County participants are Kayleigh Bjertnes, Brynn Burke, Ella Cardone, Morgan Cilibrasi, Anthony De La Rosa, Kaitlyn DeLuca, Belle Demling, Dylan Dowdell, Abigail Endres, Mikayla Garcia, Kylah Getty, Noah Huff, Anthony Kauffmann, Josana Koch, Riley LaRocca, Casey Miller and Margaret Papendick.

NYSSMA All-State participants are Abigail Endres, Noah Huff, Anthony Kauffmann and Casey Miller.
