Connetquot staff prepare for a new year with Superintendent’s Conference Day

On Sept. 1, faculty and staff came together for Superintendent’s Conference Day in preparation for the year ahead.
Superintendent Dr. Bryan Frank welcomed staff back, explaining what an honor it was to be called upon to lead the district this summer. He reminded everyone of the important role they play in shaping the experience of Connetquot students.
Keynote speaker Joe Salamone, founder of the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying, encouraged staff to keep one question at the heart of their work, “How does this help our kids?” He also spoke about the impact each person has on the district’s culture and the importance of making the most of the moments we have with students.
The day provided an opportunity for staff to learn, connect and get ready for the start of a new school year, with professional development, faculty meetings and classroom preparation rounding out the day.
