Lunch and Learn classes explore Spanish culture and cuisine
Students in Señor Bedell’s Lunch and Learn Spanish classes at Idle Hour and Bosti elementary schools culminated their food unit by diving into the world of empanadas. They learned how the popular dish is made and where it is enjoyed, then created illustrations and descriptions of “mi empanada perfecta.” The experience was topped off with a tasting of several empanada flavors from Eatcetera Latin American Deli in Bohemia.
