Board of Education honors outstanding winter athletes
At their March 10 meeting, the Connetquot Board of Education recognized Connetquot High School’s outstanding winter athletes whose hard work and competitive spirit led to an incredible season.
The Board congratulated junior Katie Porcelli for her impressive achievement as a NY State finalist in wrestling, and applauded Ethan Hauser and Kai Shapiro for qualifying for the NYS Wrestling Championships.
The Board also celebrated five talented swimmers who qualified for the state meet: Declan Doran, Dean Smith, Aidan Godbout, Max Schwalm, and Mason Spelman.
Team success was also front and center on the track. The girls indoor track team and boys indoor track team were both celebrated for capturing the Suffolk County Championship.
Congratulations to all of these remarkable student-athletes for an unforgettable winter season!
