Connetquot Italian students explore art and history at Poster House

Connetquot High School’s Italian classes visited Poster House in Manhattan to explore an exhibition highlighting the Futurismo movement in contemporary Italian art. Centered on the theme “Art or Propaganda”, the exhibition challenged students to interpret posters and analyze their messaging. During a guided tour conducted in Italian, students learned about the movement’s use of propaganda and its connection to fascism during Benito Mussolini’s dictatorship. Following their museum visit, students enjoyed a cultural experience at Eataly before returning to the high school.
