Artist Michael Albert brings Cerealism to Idle Hour Elementary

Idle Hour Elementary students explored the world of modern art and sustainability during a special visit from acclaimed pop artist, Michael Albert. Known for his unique collage style called Cerealism, which uses recycled cereal boxes and consumer packaging, Albert led a hands-on enrichment program called the Modern Pop Art Experience.

The day began with a presentation in which Albert shared his artistic journey, influences and the evolution of his techniques. Following the talk, students had the opportunity to create their own collages using cereal boxes, experiencing the creative process firsthand.
