The Quogue Wildlife Refuge visited Cherokee Street Elementary to teach students about a variety of reptiles, including their habitats, lifestyles and the impact humans have on different species. Students also explored ways they can help protect Long Island’s local wildlife. The experience wrapped up with an exciting introduction to several reptile ambassadors, including a bearded dragon, snake and tortoise.
