Elementary students tune up for NYSSMA Festival with the help of middle school mentors

Music students from Sycamore Avenue, Bosti, John Pearl, and Idle Hour elementary schools traveled to Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School, where they met with mentors to prepare for the upcoming New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Festival on April 23. During the visit, each student was paired with a member of the OBMS Tri-M Music Honor Society, who provided guidance on their solo selections, scales and sight-reading skills.
