Big dreams begin at Cherokee Street’s Career Week

Cherokee Street Elementary hosted Career Week from Jan. 26–30 for fifth grade students. Throughout the week, family members and loved ones volunteered their time to visit classrooms, share their professional experiences and introduce students to many different career options.
Students learned firsthand about professions ranging from cabinet making and software engineering to nursing, air traffic control, finance management and emergency services. Presenters also highlighted careers in education, culinary arts, public service, science and business, giving students an exciting glimpse into the many possibilities that lie ahead.
