Cherokee Street and Duffield pen pals meet for wintry celebration

Since the beginning of the school year, ENL students from Cherokee Street and Duffield elementary schools have been building connections as pen pals. On Dec. 19, the long-time pen pals quickly turned into new friends as the students met in person for the first time during a holiday-themed social at Cherokee Street. Paired with their pen pals, students created paper snowman crafts, shared a wintry trail mix snack and enjoyed playing games together, turning months of letter writing into a memorable celebration.
