RMS's National Junior Honor Society spreads holiday cheer with custom ornament fundraiser

Ronkonkoma Middle School's National Junior Honor Society teamed up with the school’s Tech Club to spread cheer and raise funds through their custom-made ornament and plaque fundraiser!
Guided by Mrs. Pope, NJHS students took the lead in managing the fundraiser, promoting the items during lunch periods, collecting orders and payments and ensuring each finished piece made its way to its new home. Behind the scenes, members of the Tech Club, under the direction of Mr. Carbonaro, transformed those ideas into beautifully crafted keepsakes using the school’s X-Carve machine.
In total, more than 30 custom orders were created, making the fundraiser a resounding success. Beyond raising money for the honor society, the project offered students valuable experience in marketing, sales, record keeping and distribution, all while working as a team toward a shared goal.
With such positive results, both clubs are already looking ahead and plan to partner again in the future to create and sell more custom items for the school community.
