Dear Connetquot Community,

I am writing to address a recent media report regarding lead levels in the drinking water at Connetquot High School. The information shared in that news story is inaccurate, due to an error in the state’s publicly reported database. After becoming aware of the news report, the district immediately contacted state officials, who have acknowledged the error and are working to correct the mistake on their end.

All aboard the Polar Express! Sycamore kindergarteners celebrate the season

Sycamore’s kindergarteners enjoyed a magical morning as they rotated through a series of festive, themed stations inspired by the beloved classic “The Polar Express”. Students crafted their own sleigh bell necklaces, played holiday games such as building cup towers to be knocked down with “snowballs” and tested their luck with holiday bingo. Students also decorated snowman bags, learned how to play spin the dreidel, and created their very own train conductor hats.
