Connetquot High School celebrates student success in the Work-Based Learning Program

Connetquot High School is proud to highlight the continued dedication and recent achievements of students participating in its Work-Based Learning Program, which is conducted in collaboration with the Suffolk County Department of Labor.
Congratulations to Payton Dugan and Malaya Mckines, who were honored by the Suffolk County Department of Labor for their outstanding work skills. Payton worked at The Nursery School in Ronkonkoma, while Malaya worked at St. Mary’s Playtime Program in Lake Ronkonkoma. Both students worked full-time over the summer and continue to work part-time during the school year.
Additional participants pictured include Thomas Clarelli and Josue Portillo, who worked in custodial roles at Cherokee and Bosti, and Dani Irvine and Mariella Domenichello, who worked at The Nursery School. Each of these students have participated in the Work-Based Learning/SCDOL program, either in summer positions or through their ongoing placements.
