Connetquot is proud to announce the outstanding achievements of its student-musicians who have been recognized at both the state and county levels for their exceptional talent and dedication. 

Each year, the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) hosts a prestigious conference in Rochester, NY, showcasing elite performing ensembles made up of the most accomplished high school musicians across the state. Last spring, thousands of New York sophomores and juniors auditioned for a chance to be selected for these All-State ensembles. Connetquot High School is proud to share that six students were selected for this year’s NYSSMA All-State Festival. Congratulations to Samantha DeLuca (Mixed Chorus), Brady Dunne (Alternate), Matthew Johnson (Alternate), Riley LaRocca (Wind Ensemble), Casey Miller (Mixed Chorus) and Elizabeth Smith (Treble Chorus). 

In addition, the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education (NYSCAME) will hold its annual All-County Music Festival this November, featuring top eleventh and twelfth grade musicians from across Suffolk County. Students were selected based on their NYSSMA solo performances, teacher nominations and overall musicianship.
