CHS students gain insight into engineering careers through job shadow program

As part of Connetquot High School’s Work-Based Learning Program, students attended a job shadow day at North Atlantic Industries in Bohemia to gain insight on careers in engineering and manufacturing products for military use.
The students toured the facility while engineers generously shared their expertise, offering students advice about career pathways and technical skills necessary to succeed in the field. This experience allowed students to see real-world applications of STEM concepts and helped them better understand the exciting opportunities available in high-tech industries on Long Island.
