Connetquot welcomes new staff for the 2025-26 school year

During the week of Aug. 18, our district welcomed a group of 16 new hires that included teachers, speech therapists, social workers and school psychologists during a comprehensive four-day New Staff Orientation. The program was designed to ensure our newest educators are well-prepared and supported as they begin their journey in Connetquot.
The week began with a warm welcome and district overview from Superintendent Dr. Centamore and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Christina Poppe. Throughout the orientation, new hires participated in a variety of sessions, including technology introduction and device distribution, suicide awareness training, departmental overviews, and a security briefing to help them feel confident and equipped in their new roles.
One of the highlights of the week was a guided bus tour of the district, giving our new staff the opportunity to explore the communities they’ll be serving and get a broader sense of our district’s reach and character.
We are excited to have these passionate educators join our team and look forward to a great school year ahead!
