The district would like to congratulate five Connetquot High School students for having their artwork chosen to be displayed in the Bay Area Friends of Fine Arts’ High School Student Invitational Juried Exhibit in Sayville.

Congratulations to Kristin Balser (Ceramic Art), Jason Cheng (Digital Art), Colleen DiMarzo (Digital Art), Toni Gerbino (Ceramic Art) and Sarah Vicente (Ceramic Art). In the Ceramic and Sculpture category, Sarah took first place, Toni secured second place and Kristin received an honorable mention for her work.

“It has been a pleasure working with these students, as they have proven themselves to be passionate, hardworking and dedicated throughout all of their artistic endeavors,” said Vincent Osmers, Connetquot High School sculpting and ceramics instructor.

A reception was held at the Gillette House in Sayville on April 7 as the students were joined by their family members, along with district staff members and administrators who praised their work and congratulated them on their accomplishments.

Additionally, the gallery will be open on the weekend of April 13-14, from 1–4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
