On April 3, fourth graders at Cherokee Street Elementary traveled back in time during Colonial Day. To round out their unit on Colonial America, students dressed in clothes reminiscent of the era, wearing bonnets, aprons, tricornes, knickers, tights, vests and more. They studied and researched the lives, culture, occupations and more of colonial people before preparing presentations for their classmates and parents. On Colonial Day, students shared their presentations with props and even put together skits on the various occupations and what it was like to be alive during the time period.
