Connetquot HS students travel the globe for International Night
On March 4, over 30 countries were represented at Connetquot High School’s International Night. Presented by the World Language Honor Society, the cafeteria was filled with alfajores, tiramisu and empanadas galore.
Members of the World Language Honor Society prepared presentations on countries they chose to represent. Each presentation gave basic information on their country as well as some fun facts. They also prepared dishes native to their chosen country for guests to enjoy while they admired posters around the room. Some members even dressed in their country’s traditional garb.
The ENL Department and school’s International Club also participated, adding even more excitement to the event.
