On May 3, entertainment industry veteran and award-winning music producer Brent Daniels virtually visited Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School for his virtual music technology assembly.

As a music producer, Brent Daniels has worked with big name companies such as Marvel Studios, Disney Studios, Netflix and more. Using master-level musicianship, a blend of high energy music production, audience interaction, information and humor, Brent delivered an exciting performance and educational experience to OBMS’s seventh graders.

Student volunteers lent their voices, and Brent used them to create an original song. He showed them different equipment, how it worked and how they could create their own music using apps on their computers and iPads. He also showed students some of the film trailers he created soundtracks for. While dazzling students with his musical talents, he also delivered an important message: a student’s education, great study habits and positive decision-making are essential for their success.
