The district welcomes Lauren Neckin, recently appointed assistant principal of Connetquot High School, effective Sept. 15. Ms. Neckin has served as an assistant principal and as advanced placement coordinator at Rocky Point High School since 2019 and was previously department chairperson of Great Neck Public Schools’ Family and Consumer Sciences/Life Skills program. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in speech communications with a minor in human relations from St. Joseph’s College. She also acquired a Master of Science in family and consumer sciences education from Queens College and a Master of Science in childhood general and special education from Touro College. Ms. Neckin also holds a Master of Science in educational leadership from the American College of Education. As a child, Ms. Neckin attended Connetquot schools and said she is thrilled to have the opportunity to return home as an assistant principal. “I am extremelyexcited for this opportunity to come full circle and return home to where it all started for me.
