The Connetquot Central School District appointed Joanne Pisani as the district’s Director of Student Services.

Mrs. Pisani, a Commack resident, is not a new face in the district. She has worked in Connetquot Central Schools since 2002, first as Youth and Family Services Coordinator at Helen B. Duffield Elementary School, where she held the position until her appointment. She also served as Mental Health Literacy Coordinator as a teacher on special assignment and as interim Director of Pupil Personnel Services from Apr. – June 2022. Mrs. Pisani holds permanent certification as a New York State Certified School Counselor and is a state licensed health counselor. Additionally, Mrs. Pisani is a certified mental health integrative medicine provider.

Mrs. Pisani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stony Brook University and a Master of Science in School Counseling from Long Island University. She also received post-master certification in the Educational Leadership Program at Stony Brook University and, finally, is enrolled in the doctoral program for Educational Administration and Supervision at St. John’s University.

Mrs. Pisani said she is excited about her new position and believes that “together we can create a climate and culture that supports the whole child by investing in the social and emotional well-being of all students.”
