CHS NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY INFORMATION:

Attn: Sophomore and Junior Students

Dear Students/Parents,

To begin the National Honor Society Application process, you must attend a meeting with Mr. Bachisin and Ms. Fusco on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 2:10 pm in the Library.

At this meeting you will receive information regarding the process and receive a google classroom code to make an appointment for a brief interview with the advisors.

**Friday, April 19, 2024: Suffolk County District Attorney Office Presentation on "Choices & Consequences - Exploring the dynamics of drunken, drugged and reckless driving".  This program is for all of our 11th and 12th grade students and will take place during periods 7th and 8th.


**Advanced Placement Exams will take place Monday, May 6, 2024 through and including Friday, May 17, 2024

**5/19/24 Sunday, May 19, 2024: Mental Health 5K Run/Walk

The 2nd annual Mental Health 5k run/walk event that is being organized and led by our students at Connetquot High School! The event is a 5K run/walk fundraiser for mental health awareness that will take place on Sunday May 19th at 9am at the High School.  We are also excited to offer a kids dash for the little ones!

Together with Center Moriches & North Babylon High School leaders who will also be a part of the (3) part 5k Run/Walk series again. All students will be able to participate in the race course series free of charge in an effort to spread awareness to a cause important to so many people. Our students have been working hard to organize this event, and we are confident that it will be a great success. In addition to the run/walk and kids dash, there will be a free T-shirt for each participant, awards, raffles and music available for everyone to enjoy.

All proceeds from this event will go towards supporting mental health. Our students are committed to raising awareness and funds for mental health, and this event is an excellent opportunity to come together as a community to support their efforts.

Whether you are a runner, walker, or just want to come out and support a great cause, we welcome you to join us for this fantastic event! Don't forget to bring your little ones along for the kids' dash. Students of all ages run for free! Student Code: UOV2024

**Information on the 2024 Senior Banquet -- Wednesday, May 22, 2024 (Click on underlined link for more details)

Senior Banquet will be May 22nd from 6-10PM at Land's End in Sayville.

This event is ONLY for Seniors.

Tickets will be for sale April 9, 11 and 12

  • Before school room 195
  • From 12:45-1:45 in the library
  • 9th period in front of attendance

Tickets are $110. Check or money order payable to CCSD.

You MUST complete and submit the Code of Conduct when purchasing your ticket. Copies can be found in the 12th grade office or you can print your own copy.


**JUNIOR FORMAL CELEBRATION - WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 2024

  • Date/Time: 6/12/24 from 6 PM to 10 PM

STUDENT ID CARDS for CONNETQUOT HIGH SCHOOL

  • This year all students are expected to wear their ID cards. (Replacement lanyards are available in grade level offices).
  • Students will be scanning their ID cards upon entering the school building as well as the CHS cafeteria.
  • Students will need to display their ID card when signing into a bathroom.
  • Students will continue to use the ID card received last school year.

    2023 – 2024 SENIOR PARKING APPLICATION:

    Dear Senior:

    Parking on school grounds is a senior privilege. You must have a Connetquot High School Parking Tag issued by the school and displayed from your vehicle’s rear view mirror when parking in the student parking lot.  In order to receive your parking tag, you must read, complete and return this application to Security at the high school.

    Only SENIORS with a New York State Class D driver’s license can apply for a parking tag.  Please note, a Class D License is issued only to people 18 years of age or older or to a person who is 17 years of age and has successfully completed an approved Driver Education course and received your certificate of completion.  By law, you cannot drive to school with a Junior License (Class DJ).  JUNIORS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PARK ON SCHOOL CAMPUS.


    You must download, print and complete the following SENIOR PARKING application document: (Bring completed forms to high school when you get your Senior Parking Permit)

    Students will submit Senior Parking Applications and receive their Senior Parking Tags at the CHS Security Desk located at the Main Entrance.

    Please note, once you receive your NYS Class D Driver's License, you can submit Senior Parking Application anytime during the school year.

    Failure to secure a valid SENIOR PARKING TAG can result in loss of parking privileges.
