Meals are free to children for the 2020-2021 school year.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended free meals for children through the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.

The Connetquot School District's meal program has been expanded to include breakfast at Cherokee and Slocum, due to New York State law. Please find the letter here regarding the New York State law.

Beginning November 5th, all students at Cherokee and Slocum will be able to order breakfast through the FD MealPlanner. Breakfast will be delivered to the classroom before your child arrives in the morning. The meal will include an entrée, fruit, and milk.

Breakfast and lunch will be at no charge to families through June 2021.

FD MealPlanner allows parents to customize and pre-order all lunch meals that we offer through its iOS and Android mobile app or online at www.fdmealplanner.com. Orders placed through the FD MealPlanner app or website are prepared and packaged ahead of the lunch period. In order to ensure the availability of your child(ren)’s lunch, parents must select and submit their pre-orders by 10:00 p.m. the night before. This will allow the food service department to prepare meals efficiently and safely for both in-person learning and virtual learning, “grab and go.” Note: orders can be submitted for up to five days in advance.
