A message from School Nurse, Mrs. Dawn LoBosco, R.N.
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year Idle Hour students & families. Things certainly are different due to all the precautions we are taking in order to stay healthy, but we are off to a great start! I’m very proud of our students for doing such a wonderful job of wearing their masks, social distancing and handwashing frequently throughout the school day. Parents, just a reminder to please keep your child home if they are sick. If upon assessment your child is screened positive for at least ONE symptom of COVID-19 as listed by the CDC, as required by the NYSDOH guidelines, your child will be sent home and required to follow the return to school protocol as listed below:
*Please Note; A signed note from your health care provider documenting unconfirmed acute illnesses, such as viral upper respiratory illness or viral gastroenteritis will not suffice. Students in grades K, 1, 3, and 5 are required to submit Physical Examinations with screenings for vision, hearing and scoliosis along with up to date documentation of their Immunization Record as per age/grade level. Lastly, I’d like everyone to know how thrilled I am to be the nurse at Idle Hour Elementary School. It’s truly a privilege and a pleasure to take care of your children. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
