Cherokee Street Elementary School fifth graders in Donna Barclay’s class wore matching bright yellow T-shirts and celebrated World Kindness Day this November by practicing random acts of kindness. World Kindness Day, celebrated Nov. 13, is an international holiday established in 1998 to promote kindness throughout the world. The observance encourages citizens to make the world a better place by promoting good deeds and pledging acts of kindness as individuals or organizations.
