In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, staff and students from Cherokee Street Elementary School recently participated in a monthlong fundraiser in an effort to combat the disease. Spearheaded by fourth grade teacher Jennifer Ripp and speech and language pathologist Nicole Bren, the school showed their full support throughout the month of October as they wore pink-colored clothing and purchased T-shirts with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Campaign. The school is thrilled to report that they successfully raised $350 toward the fight against breast cancer.
