Students from Bosti Elementary School recently learned a number of important facts surrounding allergy awareness courtesy of school nurse, Pat Koster. During her presentation, Mrs. Koster informed the students that food allergies are most common in young children, as the following eight items cause 90 percent of most food allergy reactions - milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish. Additionally, the students took part in a fun activity in which they created interlocking paper links which featured words speaking to how to be a good friend to fellow students with allergies.
