Connetquot High School Freshmen Welcomed During Orientation

Incoming freshmen were welcomed by Connetquot High School administrators and faculty during an orientation program, held in the gymnasium on Aug. 30. Principal Michael Moran and assistant principals Brian Dolan, Joseph Modica, Lauren Neckin and Mark Sidman were on hand to welcome students to the start of the 2022-2023 school year and to provide them with information to assist them in their transition to the high school.

Mr. Modica said, “You are in high school only once, so let’s make it a wonderful experience.”

The students learned about expectations, the bell schedule, guidance counselor assignments, clubs and activities and schedules. Most importantly, participants were strongly encouraged to become involved to make their four-year experience at Connetquot High School memorable.

“High school is all about discovering yourself,” Ms. Neckin said. “Take advantage of as many activities as you can.
