Cherokee Street Elementary School's DECEMBER Dignity Award Winners. As part of our continuing character education program, students were nominated by their classroom teachers for demonstrating the character word for the month. December's word was - EMPATHY.

Members of Cherokee's 5th grade student council from Mr. Cavanagh's class presented the gifts that the student council collected from their toy drive to Benefit Matthew's Wish. This is the third year Cherokee has held this event to benefit this worthy cause. Approximately 385 brand-new toys to be donated to Matthew's Wish.
