2019 - 2020 COURSE SELECTION:

The scheduling process for the 2019-2020 school year is currently underway.  The information listed below will provide you with important details about our process and how to best support your child in their selection of courses for next school year.

  • On January 3rd and January 4th 2019, all students in grades 9 through 11 will participate in our annual “Curriculum Fair” through their physical education classes.  During this event, students will have an opportunity to learn about the various elective opportunities available at Connetquot High School. 
  • Prior to this event, school counselors will visit English classes during the week of December 10th to review the course selection/scheduling process and provide students with the Course Selection Sheet for 2019-2020.
  • On January 4, 2019, counselors will begin meeting individually with their students through Social Studies classes to review the core academic courses that were recommended for your child and to input elective courses provided on their Course Selection Sheet.

The attached charts outline the diploma and credential requirements currently in effect. The chart is intended to provide an overview of the requirements and identify the student populations that have access to each type of diploma and non-diploma high school exiting credential. Websites are provided to offer specific regulatory requirements and more detailed information regarding the requirements for each diploma or credential.

  • It is recommended that you click on the link above and review The Common Application Essay Prompts.  As part of the college application process utilizing The Common Application, you will need to develop a well written essay.
  • Please take advantage of your time over the summer to select and write your essay.
