Connetquot High School seniors Edward Sollazzo and Samantha Lankowicz have been named 2019 Suffolk Zone winners by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. They were recognized at a dinner in December. 

Nominated by their physical education teacher Jessica Perry, these students are exceptional talents both in and outside of the classroom. As Suffolk Zone winners, these students were recognized by NYSAHPERD for their achievements in physical education as well as for leadership, character and academics.

Only one male and one female student from each Suffolk County school may win the Suffolk Zone award each year. Eligible students must have earned high grades in their physical education classes and maintain an overall superior GPA.
