The district would like to congratulate students Jeremy Bertolet, Joseph Brimlow, Biproprosad Das, Atif Khan and Amanda Perrone for being named Commended Students in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program. 

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although these students will not continue in the 2020 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended students place amongst the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2020 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. 

Additionally, student Sebastian Govea was recognized as part of the National Hispanic Recognition Program, scoring in the top 2.5% among all Hispanic and Latino test takers throughout the region.
