Connetquot students took time out of their summer schedules to enroll in the district’s enrichment program. Provided through SCOPE Education Services and funded through monies provided by the American Rescue Plan, 160 students enrolled in classes that piqued their interests in chocolate-making, jewelry design, makerspace and STEAM, painting and more. High school students also were able to enroll in classes on college essay writing and SAT preparation.

Jaclyn Zuccaro, who headed the program, said she was extremely pleased with the turnout and that students had a wonderful time learning new skills. “The students were able to take the time to learn in a hands-on way,” Ms. Zuccaro said.
