The District’s incoming kindergarten students at Idle Hour Elementary School received a sneak peak of their classrooms and met their peers during the Kindergarten Playdate program, held on Aug. 16. Kindergarten Playdate is an excellent opportunity for the students to become acquainted with the school, the classroom and their classmates prior to the school year, thus easing before-school anxieties.

During their Kindergarten Playdate, students had fun playing on the playground, shared a snack and made many new friends. John Pearl, Edward J. Bosti, Sycamore Avenue and Cherokee Street elementary schools also sponsor Kindergarten Playdate programs prior to the opening of school on Sept. 6.
