Connetquot High School Welcomes Joseph Modica

Connetquot High School welcomes Joseph Modica, who was appointed 11th grade assistant principal.

Mr. Modica, a Hauppauge resident, previously worked in the Islip School District as dean of student services at Islip High School. He was also director of the Summer SCOPE Enrichment Program and was named SCOPE’s 2020 Islip Educator of the Year. His work in the Islip School District also includes being a facilitator for the Virtual Enterprise International course, which was recognized by the New York State Department of Education as one of the top career and technical enterprise programs in the state.

Mr. Modica acquired a Bachelor of Science in business administration from St. Joseph’s College, as well as a Master of Science in Secondary Education and advanced certification in school building leadership from Dowling College.
