The district’s incoming kindergarten students received a sneak peek of their classrooms and met their peers during the Kindergarten Playdate program. Kindergarten Playdate was an excellent opportunity for the students to become acquainted with the school, the classroom and their classmates prior to the school year.

At Helen B. Duffield Elementary School, students congregated on the playground prior to being separated by class. Each class then sat in their desks as Principal Lisa Farrell read her favorite book, “The Little Rabbit Who Liked to say Moo.” The students also enjoyed a snack provided by the PTA and completed a craft before hopping on the school bus for a trial ride.
