After a one-year hiatus, the Connetquot Community Winter Wonderland returned, bigger and better than ever in 2019, when it was hosted in December at Connetquot High School.

For the event, the high school was transformed into a winter wonderland complete with colorful lights and giant ornaments, both inside and out. Special guests, including Santa and Mrs. Claus, added to the festive atmosphere, while musical groups from several schools entertained the visitors with familiar songs. Additionally, light refreshments were provided in the cafeteria, along with arts and craft projects and face painting activities.

“This was another great night for our third Winter Wonderland,” said Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School PTA President John Tedeschi, who has helped to spearhead the project over the years. “It was a massive challenge, but once again our community showed why we love to live here. Moving the Winter Wonderland to the high school from OBMS was very challenging, but the CHS-PTSA made the transition much easier.”
