More than 50 Connetquot school district campers, plus coaches and counselors, recently concluded another successful All-Sports Camp experience which was held at the Edward J. Bosti Elementary School from July 8 – Aug. 2.
Physical education teachers Michael Konsevich and Michael Oldis put together an ambitious and fun-filled program that taught the students basic skills in basketball, volleyball, European handball, kickball, floor hockey, flag football and soccer, while playing challenging games along the way. The campers saw newly released movies and worked on their bowling skills at the local bowling alleys.
Exercises and drills were designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn both basic and advanced skills to further their playing ambitions, and allowed them to have fun with friends during summer vacation. These future “T-birds” worked hard, made some new friends, and look forward to putting their newfound skills and confidence into practice this season.
