Boys Tennis Team Celebrates Senior Night Win

Connetquot High School boys tennis coach Ryan Cavanagh has been optimistic all season long, and that confidence has been rewarded as the 2019 boys tennis team completed its regular season on April 30 with an impressive 7-0 win over the visitors from West Islip High School. This win gave the T-Birds a 13-2 record, making this year’s boys tennis team the one with the most wins ever in a regular season in Connetquot High School history!

Connetquot senior Alan Savovic finished the regular season undefeated, with a highly impressive record of 15-0.

The team’s win over West Islip coincided with the annual senior night festivities, as six graduating seniors were recognized for their dedication to the program and the leadership they provided over the course of the season for their younger teammates.  Congratulations, and thank you, to graduating seniors Victor Barsotti, Paul Chang, Dan Frohman, Kory Kaelin, William Kennedy and Aiden Spicciatie. Additionally, congratulations to Coach Cavanagh and the entire boys tennis team for their outstanding season.

Connetquot holds second place in the league, right behind Bay Shore High School. The Suffolk County tennis championships begin on May 14, and the T-Birds are expected to have earned a top seed in the tournament.

Girls Lacrosse Team Outscores Copiague 16-1
