During the Jan. 22 Board of Education meeting, a number of faculty and staff members were recognized for their altruistic contributions toward enhancing the education of students.

For the 2018-19 school year, a number of new initiatives and classroom enhancements were approved by the Connetquot Foundation for the Advancement of Children. Many individuals were also recognized by the Board of Education for their thoughtful ideas.

The district would like to thank and congratulate the following individuals for their contributions – Kathleen Bankoff, Laura Barry, Raymond Carta, Nicole Coogan, Beth Edson, Lorraine Liguori, Colleen Malone, Megan McAlpine, Lara McNally, Kim Patterson, Elizabeth Piekut, Joanne Pisani, Ashley Rivera, Lorei Rodrigues, Emily Sciame, Andrea Tipton-Rudolph, Graceann Vavalle and Stephanie Zelinski.

Since 2005, CFAC has helped students in need, offering free tutoring, supporting community events, and providing more than $175,000 in school, community and teacher financial grants. The grants help to purchase equipment and supplies, support special student assemblies and finance training that directly benefits the students of the Connetquot community.
