Based on both their musical talents and teacher recommendations, 16 Connetquot High School students have been recognized as premier musicians by the New York State School Music Association and invited to participate in this year’s All-County, All-State and All-National Music Festivals. 

Due to her incredible musical capabilities, Connetquot High School student Anna Grottola (soprano II) has been named an All-National student-musician, and will travel to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida to perform from Nov. 25–28 alongside other talented musicians throughout the country. 

The district also congratulates students Robert Alvarado (mixed chorus), Gabrielle Cascio (soprano II), Darren Dutton (alto sax), Sara Mistler (treble), Gabriella Perticone (mixed chorus) and Giovanni Santiago (mixed chorus) who have been named All-State student-musicians and were invited to participate in the 2018 NYSSMA All-State Conference to be held in Rochester, New York from Nov. 29-Dec. 2. 

Additionally, students Joseph Brimlow (French horn), Alicia Donlon (French horn), Laurel Edwards (mixed chorus), Nicholas Fandaros (mixed chorus), Samantha Lankowicz (clarinet), Matthew Lopez (string bass), Emma Lovaglio (treble), Nicholas Miller (mixed chorus) and Angelina Morales (treble) were named All-County student-musicians and are slated to perform at Half Hollow Hills West High School on Friday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. alongside other selected musicians.
