The first-grade classes at Sycamore Avenue Elementary School recently invited their family members to visit the classrooms for a celebration of students’ yearlong writing experiences. The young authors took the time to read to their invited guests, while the teachers distributed gifts as a token of appreciation for all of their efforts this school year. At the conclusion of the celebration, certificates were presented to each of the excited first-graders. Additionally, refreshments were made available to the students and their visitors.
