Congressman Peter King recently visited Connetquot High School and talked to the students in attendance from Christine Lennihan’s and William VanNostrand’s social studies classes about how the United States government serves its citizens.

After his insightful speech, the U.S. representative answered the questions the students had for him and added anecdotes about the current administration and efforts to keep Americans safe. Additionally, he told stories about his experiences and travels, and added a few facts about his relationships with notable individuals, including several presidents.

King is both a nationally and internationally recognized senior member of the United States House of Representatives. He is a member of the Homeland Security Committee and Chairman of the Sub-Committee and Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
