Student-Athlete Named to All-Suffolk County Track and Field Team

Congratulations to Connetquot High School boys track and field team pole vaulter Tom Domozych for being named to the 2018 Suffolk County Track and Field team. Most recently, Tom jumped 13 feet, 6 inches to take fourth place in the Suffolk County championships. Additionally, Tom was the only pole vaulter from the 11th-grade class to make the All-County team.

Coach Tim Fischer noted that while Tom finished fourth, his brother, sophomore Mike Domozych, finished fifth and Dalton Otto Sop finished sixth. The future looks bright for Connetquot High School pole vaulting!

Student-Athletes Selected to Compete in National High School Track and Field Championships

Congratulations to three members of the Connetquot High School girls varsity track and field team for earning a spot in the National High School Track and Field championships being held at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro on June 15-16.

Bryanna Holguin will compete in the triple jump, while teammates Serena Roopnarine and Kianna Plummer both qualified for the 3,000-meter racewalk.

Additionally, Bryanna Holguin won the high jump on June 2 with a jump of 38 feet, 1 ¾ inches at the Suffolk County championships and has also qualified for the New York State championships at Cicero-North Syracuse High School on Friday and Saturday, June 8-9.

The three young ladies continue a tradition of excellence for student-athletes wearing the Connetquot High School colors. Congratulations to the League II champions, and best of luck to Coach Crowley, Bryanna Holguin, Kianna Plummer and Serena Roopnarine. You make the residents of the Connetquot community proud of your efforts!
