In recognition of Police Week and all of the sacrifices police officers make on a daily basis to ensure the community’s safety, third through fifth-grade students from Slocum Elementary School recently visited the Suffolk County Police Department Headquarters located in Yaphank, NY.

Throughout the duration of their visit, the students were able to witness a K-9 unit demonstration, an SCPD helicopter in motion and toured the Police Museum and 911 Center.
