The Connetquot High School Student Government recently spread hundreds of colorful holiday eggs throughout the building’s new gym in an effort to provide some holiday fun for the district’s younger students during the annual “Spring Egg Hunt” event.
More than 200 students, accompanied by their family members, had the opportunity to play games and win prizes before the egg hunt began. Throughout the course of the day’s activities, the young students were also given the opportunity to have their photos taken with the “Spring Bunny.”
Additional funds raised from the $5 admission fee are applied to future events such as senior day, fall pep rally, the homecoming parade and safe Halloween. In addition to this successful spring event, the Connetquot High School Student Government actively supports local food pantries and provides assistance to families in need.
